Delta is delivering a seamless travel experience — on the ground and in the air—through industry-leading government partnerships and cutting-edge technology. Whether departing, connecting or arriving, customers are already benefiting from a simpler, faster journey.

“No one better connects the world than Delta, and we want to make your connections – and travel experience as a whole – smoother, smarter and more efficient at every step of the journey,” said Greg Forbes, Managing Director – Airport Experience, “These initiatives rolling out and expanding this summer are big steps towards delivering on that promise.”

Checked in on the app and just need to drop bags? Customers who plan ahead will get ahead. Enjoy a faster bag drop experience at ATL, BOS, DTW and SEA.

Expanding to all Delta hubs by end of year, Touchless ID (formerly known to customers as “Delta Digital ID”) allows enrolled customers to breeze through security and bag drop – no physical ID needed. Bag drop and security experiences are now available at ATL, DTW, LAX, LGA, JFK, SLC, DCA and SEA, with a security-only experience available at DEN, LAS and PDX.

Customers connecting in ATL from ICN and LHR no longer need to reclaim and recheck bags before proceeding to their gate, saving up to 25 minutes. Customers on select flights connecting in ATL from LHR who use Global Entry or the Mobile Passport App can also skip redundant security checks and proceed to their gate, saving 45 minutes.

Traveling internationally? Save time with faster connections on select flights

Delta and Korean Air customers flying from Incheon (ICN) to Atlanta (ATL) and Delta customers flying from London Heathrow (LHR) to Atlanta (ATL) and onward to connecting Delta flights can now head straight to their connecting gate without reclaiming and rechecking their bags at U.S. customs. Thanks to cutting-edge tech and collaboration with Korean and U.K. governments and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, customers save up to 25 minutes and enjoy a smoother journey.

In addition to the checked bag benefit, customers connecting in ATL from LHR on select flights can also bypass redundant TSA screenings and proceed to their connecting gate, saving up to 45 minutes, thanks to partnership with TSA and the U.K. government. This offering will roll out to all LHR to ATL flights in the coming weeks. To qualify, Delta customers must be enrolled in Global Entry or use the Mobile Passport Control app. Since February, all eastbound customers from ATL connecting through LHR have benefitted from this streamlined experience. Delta will expand this innovation to additional international routes in the future, making global travel faster, easier and more seamless than ever.
