  • Seven New Boarding Groups Will Increase Efficiency and Reward Frontier’s Most Loyal Customers

Frontier Airlines continues to redefine ultra-low cost air travel and is furthering this mission by announcing today a new, streamlined boarding process. Effective immediately, Frontier is expanding the number of boarding groups for its flights from four to seven, which will improve efficiency and provide a better customer experience.

“Flying with Frontier just became an even more seamless experience,” said Bobby Schroeter, Chief Commercial Officer, Frontier Airlines. “Our new boarding groups are designed to reward our most loyal customers and enhance the overall travel experience for everyone.”

Starting today, Frontier flights will board as follows:

Preboarding
  • Customers with disabilities and those needing extra time
  • Active-duty military
  • FRONTIER Miles Elite Diamond members
  • Families traveling with children under the age of 2 (and those traveling with a car seat or stroller)
Group 1
  • FRONTIER Miles Elite Platinum and Gold members
  • Customers who purchased Business or Premium Bundles
  • Customers who purchased Board First
Group 2
  • FRONTIER Miles members who purchased an Economy Bundle or a carry-on bag
Group 3
  • All other customers who purchased an Economy Bundle or carry-on bag
Group 4
  • FRONTIER Miles Elite Silver members (who were not eligible for an earlier boarding group)
  • FRONTIER Airlines World Mastercard cardmembers
  • Customers who purchased priority boarding
  • Customers seated in Premium or Exit Row (who were not eligible for an earlier boarding group)
Group 5
  • All other FRONTIER Miles members
Group 6
  • Basic fare customers seated in rear half of cabin
Group 7
  • Basic fare customers seated in front half of cabin
