  • JET-TNCA FBO By Aruba Airport Authority N.V.: Achieves NATA Green Aviation Business Certification

Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) has announced that JET-TNCA, operated as the Fixed Based Operator for general aviation at Aruba Airport, has successfully achieved the Green Aviation Business Certification by the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) Sustainability Standard for Aviation Business.

The NATA Sustainability Standard for Aviation Businesses allows NATA member organizations to complete a self-certification process that is designed for organizations to take incremental steps to reduce their Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions (including CO2), increase the use of more environmentally friendly energy sources, reduce waste and embed sustainability in all areas of operations. The NATA Sustainability Standard certifications include four levels.

JET-TNCA started this journey back in February 2025 together with World Kinect where the FBO and AAA’s Sustainability Team received a 2-day workshop in preparation for applying for the NATA certification. Achieving level 1 included the introduction of an environmental policy, establishment of JET-TNCA’s carbon inventory (footprint), introduction of paperless systems and processes where possible, replacement for LED lights, and offering a water filling station to reduce the use of plastic bottles.

In alignment with AAA’s vision, sustainability goals, and objectives, JET-TNCA will continue focusing its sustainability efforts on reducing its carbon emissions through proper carbon management, stakeholder engagement, introduction of sustainable sourcing and procurement, further integrating renewable energy at locations, collecting, auditing, and reporting data, and developing a strategic direction with actions to be taken in preparation for the next levels of certification.
