  • Passengers can also explore a new interactive map on the airline’s flights.

It took months of testing and analysis, in a careful process involving evaluations by winemakers and feedback from TAP Customers. After three phases, with almost 1,300 proposals, TAP Air Portugal chose the 55 wines that make up the new Portuguese wine list on board its aircraft.

Throughout 2026, TAP will unveil its new list, with 43 different wines for Business Classand 12 for Economy Class. Business Class will offer a welcome drink of white Port wine, 12 red wines, 12 white wines, six sparkling wines, six Port wines, and six Moscatel de Setúbal wines.

The menu offers wines from nine different regions, ensuring a complete on-board experience that reflects the country’s wine diversity. The new additions, organised into eight categories, will be announced every two months.

With over 16 million passengers and more than a thousand weekly flights, the Company serves half a million bottles of wine to its Customers annually and reinforces its commitment to Portuguese spirit by choosing producers and varieties from different regions of the country.

An experience that flies even higher for those interested in wine tourism. The in-flight entertainment system now offers a totally innovative feature, and TAP is the first airline to integrate an interactive map of the world of Portuguese wine, allowing its Customers to discover the entire national offering.

Each Customer can explore the cultural and tourist wealth of Portugal, with options for different types of travellers. Wine tourism experiences are marked on the map and, by scanning a QR code, it is possible to access a producer’s website directly, without incurring internet costs on board, and to experience everything when they land in the country, even for Customers participating in the Portugal Stopover programme.

The Stopover Programme allows TAP Customers to explore two destinations for the price of one, with a free stopover in Lisbon or Porto for up to ten days, on the outward or return journey, and with discounts at more than 150 partners throughout the country, including wine tourism.

TAP’s new wine list complements the Local Stars Programme, which aims to highlight the best national products through a region and a product crafted by a national Chef. The cuisine on board TAP flights in Business Class features the talent of Chefs Ana Moura (Alentejo), Marco Almeida (Coimbra), Lídia Brás (Trás-os-Montes), Ricardo Luz (Algarve), Rita Magro (Porto) and António Galapito (Negrais).
