  • Non-profits are eligible to apply for the “Causes with Wings” Programme until 28 February.

TAP Air Portugal announces it is accepting applications for the selection of three new partners for the TAP Donate Miles “Causes with Wings” Programme for the three years 2026-2028, to join the current six partners. This corporate social responsibility initiative, which has been part of the TAP Miles&Go Programme since 2007, allows Customers to donate miles to non-profit organisations. These organisations can then convert the miles into air tickets used for their charitable causes.

TAP Donate Miles allows partner organisations to use donated miles to support humanitarian, social, and development missions in Portugal and other countries within the TAP destination network, thereby expanding the reach and impact of their projects.

In the three years from 2026 to 2028, each selected entity will receive an initial donation of one million miles from TAP during the first year they participate in the Programme. In addition, each partner can benefit from up to one million miles donated annually by TAP Miles&Go Customers.

Eligible to apply for the “Causes with Wings” Programme are national entities that are legally constituted and duly registered as IPSS, NGOs, ONGDs, or other non-profit and public utility associations that develop or intend to develop non-profit social responsibility initiatives in Portugal and other countries in the TAP network. Applications are open until 28 February.

Currently, Apoiar, Orbis, and Sol Sem Fronteiras are partners in the Programme for the three years 2024-2026, as well as Leigos para o Desenvolvimento, Make-A-Wish, and Refood for the three-year period 2025-2027. The annual call for applications gives TAP Donate Miles the opportunity to support more causes and an increasing number of missions every year.
