Airlineratings.com released their annual “World’s Best Airlines” list, recognizing WestJet as the best hybrid airline in North America.
The ratings focus on in-flight experience including choice, comfort and value, and are chosen by Airlineratings.com based on the onboard experience.
“Recognition like this celebrates the work our teams do to put guests at the centre of every decision and make our guest feel welcome,” said Alex Mitchell, WestJet Vice‑President, Guest Experience. “Our people show up in all conditions, day in and day out, bringing energy, pride, and that warm WestJet hospitality to get our guests on their way. This award is a direct reflection of their commitment to delivering the WestJet experience.”
Retail product offerings like Extended Comfort and UltraBasic are enhancing choices for WestJet guests, giving them greater flexibility to plan the travel experience that best meets their needs. Last year, WestJet also introduced several new inflight products to elevate the guest experience including:
- Fast and free WestJet Wi-Fi presented by TELUS
- Modernized charging portals
- In-seat device holders
2026 marks the second consecutive year that WestJet has made the globally recognized list. In 2025, WestJet was awarded second place behind jetBlue. The airline was also recently awarded the APEX Four Star Major Airline Award.
