- Passengers decreased 1.6%, reaching an 84.5% load factor
Viva has announced its March 2026 preliminary traffic results. Viva’s passenger traffic contracted 1.6% compared to March 2025, reaching 2.4 million passengers.
Total capacity in available seat miles (ASMs) decreased 2.8% compared to March 2025, reflecting a 1.6% reduction in domestic capacity and an 8.2% contraction in international capacity. The load factor stood at 84.5%, with a load factor of 86.2% and 76.4% in domestic and international, respectively.
“During March, passenger volumes decreased 1.6%, with a load factor of 84.5%. This performance reflects capacity adjustments in response to evolving demand conditions and fuel price volatility, along with late-month operational disruptions in February. We remain focused on operational reliability while managing the constraints of the Pratt & Whitney engine groundings. Looking ahead, we will maintain a cautious and flexible operational stance to further align capacity with demand amid continued uncertainty around fuel prices,” said Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of Viva.
