The Airports Council International for Latin America and the Caribbean (ACI-LAC) congratulates the Aeroportos Paulista Consortium, winner of the Northwest block, and the Voa NW-Voa SE Consortium, winner of the Southeast block, as well like the Brazilian authorities, for the concession auction of 22 airports in the state of São Paulo.

“It is with satisfaction that we are following the airport concession process in Brazil and the commitment with which the private sector and the government seek to make investments in infrastructure that allow the expansion of the air network and connectivity. In this way, the development of medium-sized airports is fundamental and the positive results of this decision will soon become a reality” said Lilian Neves, Director of Industrial Relations of ACI-LAC for Brazil and South America.

“It is vital to guarantee the capillarity of aviation in a country of continental dimensions such as Brazil and ACI-LAC, with its experience in supporting airports in Latin America and the Caribbean based on the best global practices, is available to the Brazilian operators and authorities in this regard”, indicated Rafael Echeverne, Director-General of ICA-LAC.
