Climate change is the major challenge of the 21st century. In line with VINCI Group strategy, we’re working to reconcile mobility with the environment. As the world’s leading private airport operator, we commit to do our bit by having ambitious environmental goals. And we design and operate exemplary airports by implementing innovative, collaborative solutions across our network.

In concrete terms, we commit to act for climate by reducing our direct emissions by 40% by 2030 and achieve net zero emissions by 2050. Furthermore, we aim to optimise resources thanks to circular economy (with the objective to send zero waste to landfill by 2030) and preserve natural environments (biodiversity and water).
During this second edition of our annual Environment Day, VINCI Concessions’ 80 concessions in 24 countries around the world (including 45 airports) have joined forces to contribute to the achievement of our environmental ambition. This dedicated day gave our employees the opportunity to exchange about actions taken on the field to protect the environment and those to share within all our network and worldwide group.

From Latin America to Asia, numerous activities have been organised on the field and in the offices, such as challenges like ‘each ton counts’, ‘how to save energy’, several workshops and field visits of on-site facilities like solar farms or waste management plants. Employees also had the opportunity to take part in the Climate Fresk, a serious game enabling a better understanding of causes and effects of climate change.

Together, we work towards sustainable mobility as part of our promise of bringing positive mobility to all the territories where we operate!
