As of today, the US has reopened its borders for tourist travel from the European Union.
As in all markets where restrictions are being lifted, Iberia is betting on reactivating connections and, specifically, has scheduled flights to Dallas, San Francisco and Washington during the next summer season that will be on sale soon.
Dallas, Iberia’s new destination
Starting in April, Iberia will operate four weekly frequencies to this great north Texas metropolis. In addition, Dallas is the great hub of American Airlines, which ensures great connectivity within the United States for customers within the joint business agreement that Iberia has with American Airlines, British Airways and Finnair for the operation of routes between Europe and the North Atlantic.
Washington Premiere
Just before the pandemic began, Iberia announced its intention to operate direct Madrid-Washington flights. As of April 2022, the airline has scheduled four weekly flights with the United States capital where the main government institutions of that country are concentrated: the Capitol, the White House and the Supreme Court.
Return to San Francisco
And in the next summer season, Iberia will also recover its route to San Francisco, which operated as a seasonal flight before the pandemic. Specifically, there will be three flights a week starting in April.
Strong commitment to the US
With all this, Iberia is making a strong commitment to the US, its most important market and where it will go from six to nine destinations in the summer season.
For this winter season that began on October 31, Iberia has already scheduled 70 weekly flights between Spain and the United States, to the same destinations that it operated before the start of the pandemic throughout the year.
Specifically, the airline has scheduled 10 weekly flights to New York and another 10 to Miami in each direction; Chicago has five flights a week, and Boston and Los Angeles have three weekly frequencies. The offer is completed with four weekly flights to San Juan de Puerto Rico, a destination that is also part of the joint business agreement for routes between Europe and the North Atlantic that Iberia maintains together with American Airlines, British Airways and Finnair.
Joint venture with American Airlines, British Airways and Finnair
Iberia, American Airlines, British Airways and Finnair have joined forces to offer their customers a global network of routes linking more than 400 destinations in 100 countries between Europe and the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico, and which will be enriched with all these routes from Spain.
In addition, the customers of the four airlines will enjoy all the advantages of the joint business agreement, above all, a wide variety of schedules and the most efficient connections.
