IATA: June Air Cargo Demand Up 0.8% Despite Trade Disruptions

Source: IATA The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for June 2025 global air cargo markets showing: Total demand, measured in cargo tonne-kilometers (CTK), rose by 0.8% compared to June 2024 levels (1.6% for international operations). Capacity, measured in available cargo tonne-kilometers (ACTK), increased by 1.7% compared to June 2024 (2.8% for international operations). “Overall, air cargo demand grew by a modest 0.8% year-on-year in June, but there are very differing stories behind that number for the industry’s major players. Passenger Growth Slows to 2.6% in June according to IATA

Source: IATA The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for June 2025 global passenger demand with the following highlights: Total demand, measured in revenue passenger kilometers (RPK), was up 2.6% compared to June 2024. Total capacity, measured in available seat kilometers (ASK), was also up 3.4% year-on-year. The June load factor was 84.5% (-0.6 ppt compared to June 2024).
