TAP Miles&Go’s fifth anniversary is being celebrated with news and offers

Source: TAP TAP now offers miles on Discount fares. TAP Miles&Go, the Portuguese national airline's frequent flyer program, celebrates its fifth anniversary this week. To mark the date, TAP is offering its Clients the possibility of earning miles also on the Discount fare, on all bookings issued from November 1, 2023. TAP Miles&Go Clients will now be able to earn 20% of the miles flown when booking on the Discount fare, which was previously not allowed. Find out more here. Embraer earning results 3rd quarter 2023

Source: Embraer HIGHLIGHTS ·      Embraer delivered 43 jets in the third quarter, of which 15 commercial aircraft and 28 executive jets (19 light and 9 mid-size). The total number of deliveries represent an increase of 30% compared to 3Q22 and an increase of 33% Year to Date (YTD) from 105 versus 79 aircraft. ·      Revenues reached US$ 1,284 million in the quarter (38% higher than 3Q22 and equal to 2Q23). First Emirates flights cleared for take-off with SAF from Dubai

Source: Emirates The first Emirates flights operating with sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) provided by Shell Aviation have taken off from Dubai International Airport (DXB). Emirates’ flight EK 412 bound for Sydney on 24 October was among the first to operate with SAF. Shell has supplied 315,000 gallons of blended SAF for use at the airline’s hub in Dubai. This first ever supply of SAF to Emirates in Dubai has enabled the airline to power a number of missions over the course of the last few weeks. Alaska Airlines celebrates enhanced partnership with Condor Airlines

Source: Alaska Airlines Alaska Airlines is expanding our partnership with Condor Airlines – one of our global partners since March 2017 – with a bilateral codeshare agreement that enables Alaska and Condor to sell each other's flights. Last week, Condor began marketing and selling more than 70 Alaska routes across the U.S. This past summer, Alaska began marketing and selling from Condor's 12 U.S. gateway cities – including Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles (LAX) and Anchorage – to Frankfurt, Germany, the carrier's home airport. Junrong Liang appointed President of the ICAO Air Navigation Commission

Source: ICAO The Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has appointed Mr. Junrong Liang to a one-year term as President of the ICAO Air Navigation Commission (ANC). The Commission develops international aviation Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and Procedures for Air Navigation Services (PANS) for the Council’s adoption or approval. It is comprised of 19 independent commissioners appointed for their technical expertise in civil aviation. Mr. Liang’s mandate begins on 1 January 2024. FAA Schedules Next Series of Runway Safety Meetings

Source: FAA The Federal Aviation Administration continues to address runway safety risks with 16 runway safety meetings for the remainder of the year. These meetings are in addition to the 90 Runway Safety Action Team meetings across the country already held.  The meetings, held annually at each airport with a control tower, are the primary forum for pinpointing and addressing airport-specific risk in the surface environment. The product of the meeting is a Runway Safety Action Plan where stakeholders agree to pursue specific actions to improve surface safety. Latin America and the Caribbean is the first region in the world to surpass pre-pandemic air traffic levels in 2023

Source: ACI-LAC By 2024, the trend is for a 10.5% increase over 2019; the data was announced during the ACI-LAC Annual Assembly Conference & Exhibition The volume of air passengers in Latin America and the Caribbean is expected to reach 708 million by the end of 2023, 3% more than in 2019. It was the region that showed the fastest recovery after the pandemic and the one that first surpasses the 2019 air traffic volume.  Fifty-five percent of the region's airports have already exceeded 2019 air traffic.
