Viva Passengers increased 8.2%, reaching an 89.5% load factor in August

Source: Viva  Viva has announced its August 2025 preliminary traffic results. Viva’s passenger traffic increased 8.2% compared to August 2024, reaching 2.7 million passengers, driven by an increase of 8.0% and 9.9% in domestic and international traffic, respectively. US Department of Transportation issues final order to terminate the Delta Air Lines-Aeromexico joint venture

Source: Delta Air Lines Delta Air Lines issued the following statement after the U.S. Department of Transportation issued a final order on September 15 to dismantle the Delta-Aeromexico joint cooperation agreement effective Jan. 1, 2026. “We are disappointed that the Department of Transportation has chosen to terminate its approval of the strategic and pro-competitive partnership between Delta and Aeromexico, a decision that will cause significant harm to U.S. jobs, communities and consumers traveling between the U.S. and Mexico.
