Caribbean Airlines launches new route to St. Kitts expanding connectivity in the eastern Caribbean

U.S. Airlines’ May 2023 Fuel Cost per Gallon Down 8.1% from April 2023; Aviation Fuel Consumption Down 1.1% from Pre-Pandemic May 2019

Source: US DOT The Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) today released U.S. airlines’ May 2023 fuel cost and consumption numbers indicating U.S. scheduled service airlines used 1.566 billion gallons of fuel, 5.5% more fuel than in April 2023 (1.484 billion gallons) and 1.1% less than in pre-pandemic May 2019. The cost per gallon of fuel in May 2023 ($2.44) was down 22 cents (8.1%) from April 2023 ($2.66) and up $0.33 (15.6%) from May 2019. Total May 2023 fuel expenditure ($3.82B) was down 3.1% from April 2023 ($3.94B) and up 14.3% from pre-pandemic May 2019. Aeroflot has resumed the regional program of flights to Thailand

Source: Aeroflot Aeroflot has resumed direct flights to Thailand from Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Vladivostok and Khabarovsk. On July 7 the program of services started to Thailand from the regions of Russia with the first flight from Novosibirsk to Bangkok. On July 8 Aeroflot to resume flights to Bangkok from Irkutsk (twice weekly flights) and Krasnoyarsk (twice weekly) on July 9 — from Vladivostok (twice weekly). Source: Viva Aerobus Passengers increased 18.7%, reaching an 87.1% Load Factor Viva Aerobus reported its June 2023 preliminary traffic results. Viva Aerobus’ passenger traffic increased 18.7% compared to June 2022, reaching 2.08 million passengers, driven by an increase of 19.4% and 12.7% in domestic and international traffic, respectively. Load factors reached 87.1% compared to 90.6% in 2022, with a load factor mix of 88.8% and 79.7% in domestic and international, respectively.
