FAA Proposes $134,475 Fine Against Vieques Air Link of Puerto Rico for Flights with Unqualified Pilots

Source: FAA The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposed a $134,475 civil penalty against Vieques Air Link of Puerto Rico for allegedly conducting passenger flights with unqualified pilots. The FAA alleges that between July and August 2022 Vieques Air Link used pilots without appropriate certificates to operate 11 commuter flights in multiple twin-engine Britten-Norman aircraft. Vieques Air Link has 30 days to respond to the FAA after receiving the agency’s enforcement letter.

LAP Signs US$ 1,250 Million Financing Agreement for Lima Airport Expansion

Source: LAP Lima Airport Partners (LAP), part of the Fraport Group since 2001, signed a US$ 1,250 million project financing agreement for the infrastructure development in progress at Lima’s Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM) in Peru. The financing is being provided by seven banks: BBVA, IDB Invest, KfW IPEX Bank, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), The Bank of Nova Scotia, Société Générale, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC). Fraport’s and LAP’s finance teams managed the transaction, while SMBC acted as financial advisor. Eve Announces BNDES approval of $92.5 million line of credit to support eVTOL development program

Source: Eve Eve Air Mobility (“Eve”) (NYSE: EVEX; EVEXW) announced today the approval by the executive board of Brazil’s National Development Bank (“BNDES”) to support Eve’s eVTOL development efforts with two distinct credit lines, totaling $92.5 million. Both credit lines are expected to offer beneficial terms and conditions to Eve with a 12-year maturity and amortization grace period. 2022: A Record Year for Pilot Production in the United States – Pilot Supply Continues to Outpace Demand

Source: ALPA The Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA) today released updated data from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) showing that from January through November 2022, there were 8,805 commercial airline pilot certificates (ATP-MELs) issued, once again exceeding analyst forecasts and airline demand for new aviators—and putting the U.S. on pace to break pilot production records this year. OMA obtains short-term loans

Source: OMA Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte, S.A.B. de C.V., known as OMA (NASDAQ: OMAB; BMV: OMA), announces that it has obtained short-term loans for an aggregate amount of Ps.1,200 million with HSBC México, Banco Nacional de México and Banco Santander México. Proceeds will be used to capitalize the group’s subsidiaries, for working capital and to strengthen the company’s liquidity. Loans mature in June 2023 and have an annual weighted average interest rate of TIIE + 86.7 basis points. With these loans, OMA continues to maintain a solid capital structure.
