Nine states earn special ICAO Council President recognition of their aviation safety and security oversight achievements

Source: ICAO During the opening ceremony of the ICAO 41st Assembly this week, ICAO Council President Salvatore Sciacchitano recognized nine States’ significant progress in improving safety and security oversight systems by awarding them with Council President Certificates. These Certificates are awarded on the basis of the outcomes of ICAO’s Universal Safety and Security Oversight Audit Programmes, which pertain to the effective implementation of ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) in these areas. At this year’s ceremony, ICAO presented Ethiopia, Fiji, Hungary, Slovenia, and Ukraine with certificates for their safety progress, while Serbia, and Tunisia were recognized for their achievements in regard to aviation security. Emirates SkyCargo and United Cargo announce landmark agreement

Source: Emirates Emirates SkyCargo and United Cargo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that follows on the heels of the new broader historic commercial agreement between two of the largest global airlines. This coordination will deliver benefits to air freight customers of both Emirates Skycargo and United Cargo around the world. Delta halted operations at some Florida stations, contributes $250K to Red Cross for Ian relief

Delta suspended operations at several Florida airports as Hurricane Ian moves across the state and is offering a waiver for impacted customers.
