WMO and ICAO Enhance Cooperation in Aeronautical Meteorology and Related Fields

ICAO and WMO – both specialised agencies of the United Nations – have maintained formal working arrangements since 1954. Caribbean Airlines Experienced a Technical Issue Enroute to Trinidad last Sunday

Source: Caribbean Airlines  Caribbean Airlines advises that flight BW 1509 operating between Tobago and Trinidad on Sunday August 18 2024 experienced a technical issue enroute to Trinidad, specifically, a warning light came on in the cockpit. The pilots initiated the relevant operating procedure, and the aircraft landed safely and taxied to a gate position at the Piarco International Airport where all passengers and crew disembarked. In keeping with the regulations, the aircraft has been temporarily withdrawn from service and all appropriate inspections and procedures are in progress. Once these are cleared the aircraft will be released. Caribbean Airlines assures all stakeholders that safety is its number one priority and the airline thanks its valued customers for their continued support and understanding.

Iberia and SEPLA reach an agreement that makes it possible to share profits with the pilots if the financial, operational, and customer service objectives are met
