Delta CEO invites business leaders to join OneTen coalition

Source: Delta Air Lines The coalition aims to close opportunity gaps for Black talent by widening career pathways based on relevant skills and experience over degree requirements In an open letter, Delta CEO Ed Bastian challenged Atlanta business leaders to join OneTen, the national coalition aiming to close the opportunity gap for Black talent by taking a skills-first approach to hiring and promotions. Asia-Pacific which has dominated the civil aviation market for several years prior to the pandemic, is estimated to finish second, behind Europe in terms of passenger share, and at a comparable level with North America. The latest ACI Asia-Pacific forecast indicates that by the end of 2022, passenger traffic will only recover by about 55% as compared to pre-pandemic levels. This is in stark contrast to other regions where recovery is substantially higher, and indeed estimated to be approximately between 70% and 80%, respectively. In 2019, 3.38 billion passengers [...]

Blockchain Technology and its potential in the Aviation industry

By Alejandra Labarca* Blockchain technology, or to be more rigorous, the "Distributed Ledger Technology” (DLT) as it is called due to the generic name of the technologies that include the block chain, is breaking with more force in different sectors of the economy to solve already structural bottlenecks and that only a technological shock can break in order to expand the productivity limits in different industries.
