Caribbean Airlines Participated in Hike & Plant at Courland Tobago

Source: Caribbean Airlines Late last month, Caribbean Airlines staff members made their way to Courland Tobago where they planted close to 500 seedlings, as part of an ongoing reforestation programme on the sister isle. This is the second year in a row that the airline has partnered with the Eco Titans community, the Tobago Reforestation Watershed and Rehabilitation Programme (TRWRP), and the Tobago Tourism Agency for this sustainability initiative. World Fuel and DHL Express set to bring sustainable aviation fuel to MIA

U.S. Air Travel Consumer Report: July 2024 Numbers​

Source: US DOT The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) released its Air Travel Consumer Report (ATCR) on airline operational data compiled for the month of July 2024 for on-time performance, mishandled baggage, and mishandled wheelchairs and scooters. The ATCR is designed to assist consumers with information on the quality of services provided by airlines. US DOT Fines Air Canada $250,000 for Operating Flights Carrying a U.S. Carrier’s Code in Prohibited Airspace

Source: US DOT The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has fined Air Canada $250,000 for operating flights carrying United Airlines’ designator code in regions in which a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) flight prohibition was in effect for U.S. operators. The airline was ordered to cease and desist from future similar violations. An investigation by the Department’s Office of Aviation Consumer Protection (OACP) revealed that between October 2022 and January 2023, Air Canada operated a significant number of flights carrying the United Airlines code between the United Arab Emirates and Canada in airspace prohibited by the FAA to U.S. operators.
