Finnair returns to Canada – starts flights to Toronto in summer 2026

Viva Traffic Report May 2025: Passengers increased 9.0%, reaching an 84.8% load factor

Viva’s passenger traffic increased 9.0% compared to May 2024, reaching 2.5 million passengers, driven by an increase of 7.7% and 21.2% in domestic and international traffic, respectively. Load factors reached 84.8% compared to 85.3% in 2024, with a load factor mix of 86.4% and 77.1% in domestic and international, respectively. Faro-Funchal, TAP’s newest route

Source: TAP New direct route between the Algarve and Madeira already in operation with two flights a week until September. TAP Air Portugal has already launched its new domestic route, connecting Faro directly to Funchal with two flights a week. The operation started earlier this month and will be active until 11 September, reinforcing connectivity between two of Portugal's most emblematic tourist regions: the Algarve and Madeira. The flights take place on Mondays and Thursdays. On Mondays, flights depart from Funchal at 20h50 and return from Faro at 23h15. On Thursdays, flights leave Funchal at 6h10 and Faro at 8h35.
