SAS takes initiative to resume mediation with SAS Scandinavia Pilots’ Union

Source: SAS Over the past days, SAS has notified mediators that the company wishes to resume mediation with the objective of reaching an agreement to end the ongoing strike. The ongoing strike impacts thousands of our customers on a daily basis and many employees at SAS are working very hard to support affected customers. It is necessary that the parties jointly put an end to the situation. Ultimately, it is SAS’ ability to compete that is at stake in these negotiations. Caribbean Airlines Cargo connects to Cuba

Source: Caribbean Airlines Caribbean Airlines is delighted to announce the expansion of its cargo network to/from Cuba effective immediately. Through a partnership with General Handling Agent - Aerovaradero, the airline will offer air cargo services twice weekly into Havana on Tuesday and Saturday on its scheduled passenger flights. From there, the handling agent would distribute the cargo upon request to the respective Provinces and Districts of Cuba. Customers will have the option to transport general cargo, pharmaceuticals, live animals and perishable goods in the bellyhold of the aircraft. René de Groot steps down as Chief Operating Officer of KLM

Source: KLM René de Groot was appointed COO in November 2014 and began his first term as a member of KLM’s statutory Board of Managing Directors in April 2015. He was reappointed in 2019, with his second term originally due to end in 2023. In addition to his role as COO, De Groot carries responsibility for KLM’s Air Operator Certificate in relation to the Dutch Civil Aviation Authority. Volotea, the airline with largest reduction in c02 emissions in Europe, since 2019

SAS Traffic Figures – June 2022

Source: SAS Close to 2 million passengers traveled with SAS in June During June more than 1.9 million passengers traveled with SAS, an increase of approximately 220% compared to the same month last year.
