Iberia to Add Nine Aircraft to its Fleet in the First Half of 2022

Delta suspends codeshare with Aeroflot

Source: Delta Air Lines Delta has withdrawn our codeshare services operated in conjunction with Russian national airline, Aeroflot, effective immediately. We have removed our code from Aeroflot-operated services beyond Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport and removed Aeroflot’s code from Delta-operated services from Los Angeles and New York-JFK. Accommodations will be made for customers affected by these changes. Delta does not operate services to Ukraine or Russia.

IAG Final Results 2021

Source: IAG International Consolidated Airlines Group (IAG) today (February 25, 2022) presented its unaudited Group consolidated results for the year to December 31, 2021. Passenger capacity in quarter 4 was 58% of 2019 capacity, up from 43% in quarter 3 and for the full year was 36% of 2019 capacity. SWISS presents its first aircraft with Premium Economy Class

SWISS adopts new AeroSHARK riblet film technology to further reduce its flights carbon emmissions

Source: SWISS SWISS is to become the first passenger airline in the world to take advantage of the new AeroSHARK aircraft skin technology to further reduce the carbon dioxide emissions and the fuel consumption of its flight operations. All twelve of the airline’s Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will successively have the innovative riblet film, which has been co-developed by Lufthansa Technik and chemicals and coatings manufacturer BASF, applied to their fuselage and engine nacelles. The resulting significant reduction in aerodynamic drag will make the SWISS Boeing 777 fleet more than one per cent more fuel-efficient, and this in turn will substantially further reduce its carbon dioxide emissions.
