Wheels and wings: American’s two pilot training centers collect bikes for kids

Source: American Airlines Bicycles line the hallways at American’s two pilot training facilities — the result of a friendly competition between team members at the American Airlines Flight Academy and Charlotte Training Center. Each new bike, along with a matching helmet, will be gifted to a child in need. Over the past eight years, American’s pilots and flight training staff donated more than 1,000 bikes to local charities. “We're in the transportation business — what better way to give than to start kids off with their first set of wheels” said Capt. Aeroméxico celebrates first flight between Monterrey and Madrid 20-dic-2021

Delta and ITA Airways launch codeshare partnership

Source: Delta Air Lines Delta and ITA Airways, Italy’s new flag carrier, have signed a reciprocal codeshare agreement providing more choice of flights for customers of both airlines between the U.S. and Italy and beyond. Effective Wednesday (Dec. 22, 2021), ITA Airways’ code will be placed on Delta-operated flights to a total of 92 destinations. This includes flights between Rome and Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, and New York-JFK, plus selected routes across Delta’s extensive Domestic U.S. network and flights to Mexico* and Canada*. Alexis von Hoensbroech announced as new CEO of WestJet Group

The official start date for von Hoensbroech is subject to the timing of a successful immigration process, which is expected to be completed before the end of the first quarter of 2022.
