Spirit Airlines Flight Attendants Approve New Collective Bargaining Agreement

Source: Spirit Airlines Spirit Airlines (NYSE: SAVE) today announced that its Flight Attendants, who are represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), ratified a new collective bargaining agreement. The contract includes increased pay rates, more scheduling flexibility and additional enhanced benefits. “Spirit's Flight Attendants are the best in the business, and we’re pleased to recognize their dedication, professionalism and hard work on behalf of our Guests,” said John Bendoraitis, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Spirit Airlines. “We thank the AFA Negotiating Committee, Master Executive Council (MEC) and Spirit Airlines Negotiating Team for their partnership and collaboration to reach this agreement.”

(“Spirit”), JetBlue has set April 24, 2023, as the record date for the April 2023 prepayment to Spirit stockholders of $0.10 per Spirit share (the “April 2023 Additional Prepayment”), with payment of the April 2023 Additional Prepayment to occur on April 28, 2023. Pursuant to the Merger Agreement, Spirit stockholders as of the April 24, 2023, record date will be entitled to receive the April 2023 Additional Prepayment.

Rex Announces Investment In Dovetail Electric Aviation

Source: Rex Regional Express (Rex) today announced it had taken a 20 per cent stake in Dovetail Electric Aviation (Dovetail) which is pioneering the conversion of turbine powered aircraft to electric, emission-free propulsion. The equity participation agreement formalises the strategic partnership between Rex and Dovetail and builds on the Memorandum of Understanding between the two companies which was unveiled on 21 July, 2022. Rex will appoint one of its Board members to sit on the Board of Dovetail. The Australian-headquartered Dovetail recently received a $3 million grant from the Federal Government’s Cooperative Research Centres Projects (CRC-P) program.
