Air Canada Pilots Vote to Merge with ALPA

Source: ALPA The Air Canada Pilots Association (ACPA) and the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA) issued the following joint statement after Air Canada pilots voted to merge with ALPA. With 91.6 percent of eligible Air Canada pilots participating, 84.2 percent voted in favor of the merger. “Air Canada pilots voted overwhelmingly to approve a merger with ALPA, making clear they believe that we are stronger together. In the past year, Hawaiʻi’s hometown airline has advanced its sustainability goals to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050, reduce single-use plastics from cabin service and offer more locally sourced food onboard. Hawaiian’s decarbonization roadmap includes interim targets to lower GHG emissions and focuses heavily on replacing petroleum jet fuel with sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
