American Airlines Commits to Setting Science Based Target for Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions
Source: American Airlines First airline in North America to seek validation from the Science Based Targets initiative American has committed to develop a science-based target for reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2035, supporting its existing commitment to reach net-zero emissions by 2050. Airline joins the Business Ambition for 1.5°C campaign and Race to Zero. American has also agreed to terms to purchase up to 10 million gallons of SAF produced by Prometheus Fuels.
