FAA Schedules Next Series of Runway Safety Meetings

Source: FAA The Federal Aviation Administration continues to address runway safety risks with 16 runway safety meetings for the remainder of the year. These meetings are in addition to the 90 Runway Safety Action Team meetings across the country already held.  The meetings, held annually at each airport with a control tower, are the primary forum for pinpointing and addressing airport-specific risk in the surface environment. The product of the meeting is a Runway Safety Action Plan where stakeholders agree to pursue specific actions to improve surface safety. Latin America and the Caribbean is the first region in the world to surpass pre-pandemic air traffic levels in 2023

Source: ACI-LAC By 2024, the trend is for a 10.5% increase over 2019; the data was announced during the ACI-LAC Annual Assembly Conference & Exhibition The volume of air passengers in Latin America and the Caribbean is expected to reach 708 million by the end of 2023, 3% more than in 2019. It was the region that showed the fastest recovery after the pandemic and the one that first surpasses the 2019 air traffic volume.  Fifty-five percent of the region's airports have already exceeded 2019 air traffic. Peak summer months at Europe’s airports drive strong recovery amidst challenges

Source: ACI Europe ACI EUROPE today releases its air traffic report for September and the third quarter (Q3) of 2023 - a peak period for European air travel. Passenger traffic across the European airport network increased by +12.1%in Q3 compared to the same period last year. Despite persistently higher air fares and enduring pressures from rising inflation, the summer months showed a very robust performance overall. When compared to pre-pandemic (Q3 2019) levels, passenger traffic in Q3 stood at -3.1%, marking a significant improvement over the first half of the year (-7.7%), and signifying continued progress towards reaching 2019 traffic levels. LAX Passenger Traffic tops pre-pandemic numbers for the first time during consecutive October days

Source: LAX Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is proud to announce the airport surpassed pre-pandemic passenger levels for the first time since 2019 during a two-day October travel period. The milestone was first reached on Monday, October 9 when the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) reported screening 111,017 passengers at LAX, which represents about 103% of the number of passengers screened on the same day in 2019 (107,675 vs. 111,017). On Tuesday, October 10, the TSA screened 94,686 passengers representing more than 100% of the passengers screened on the same day in 2019 (94,211 vs. 94,686). OMA announces update on the Tariff Regulation Bases

Source: OMA Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte, S.A.B. de C.V., known as OMA (NASDAQ: OMAB; BMV: OMA), informs that on October 19, 2023, we received new tariff regulation bases from the Federal Civil Aviation Agency (Agencia Federal de Aviación Civil, "AFAC"), a deconcentrated entity of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation ("SICT"), which replace the bases received on October 4, 2023.  The tariff regulation bases refer to those set forth in Annex 7 of the concession titles issued by the SICT on June 29, 1998, as amended, applicable to OMA's 13 airport concessions.
