Source: MIA Miami native Cristina Lei Rodriguez's artwork is now in full bloom No matter the month, it's springtime for passengers traveling near Miami International Airport's Gate D31 Gallery from now until next March, thanks to Miami artist Cristina Lei Rodriguez's colorful augmented assemblages of plant life. Her latest solo exhibition, The Sun Scans New Growth, features scans of South Florida flora created between 2020-2022 in her backyard studio, and a site-specific vinyl mural installation poetically titled Sultry Blossoms in a Periwinkle Sky (January 7, 2021, afternoon sessions), which sprawls one of the exhibition walls. Source: MIA Free reservation service available for American Airlines passengers American Airlines passengers flying out of Miami International Airport can now schedule their TSA checkpoint screening time with MIA Reserve, a free reservation service. During the six-month pilot program with security technology firm Pangiam and American Airlines, which began today, reserved screening times are available daily to American Airlines passengers at MIA's TSA Checkpoint 4 from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations are limited and can be scheduled up to 72 hours before a flight.
