Las Américas Int. Airport mobilizes more than 15 million pounds of cargo in May 2021, a record figure in its history

Airport continues to lead cargo activities in the Dominican Republic as it is the only airport to have an express shipping service, which allows palletized cargo to be placed door to door on the next day in the main global markets. New tool made available by ACI World assists airports to plan capacity increases as recovery continues

Centro Leon and AERODOM sign an alliance to develop temporary art and culture exhibitions at airports

VINCI Airports publishes traffic report for the first half of 2021

Worlwide Flight Services wins contract extensions with Air Europa in Madrid and Barcelona

Source: WFS Spain’s Air Europa has signed cargo handling contract extensions with Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) in Madrid and Barcelona. The country’s third largest airline, Air Europa has been a WFS customer in Madrid since 2018, and signed its first agreement with the world’s largest cargo handler in Barcelona in January of this year. The new contracts now further extend Air Europa’s partnership with WFS in Spain to Q4 2022. Air Europa operates Boeing 787 and 737-800 passenger aircraft with bellyhold cargo capacity from the two Spanish airports to destinations in Europe and North and South America. US-Bound Passengers Advised to Complete Covid-19 Testing Prior to Arrival at LPIA for Travel

Passengers are immediately advised to complete all COVID-19 testing prior to arrival at LPIA.  While facilities will be available for emergency COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Testing, passengers should arrive at the airport for travel to the United States with a negative COVID-19 test result. NY&NJ Port Authority signs long-term ground lease to create new world-class cargo facility at JFK
