MIA selected as first test site for TSA drone detection technology

The Ministry of the Environment of Chile Acknowledges Santiago’s Nuevo Pudahuel Airport For Its Greenhouse Gas Reduction

Huella Chile is the name of the initiative that seeks to promote the measurement, reporting and control of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, which today gives its seal to Nuevo Pudahuel. The program originated in the Ministry of the Environment and grants recognition in 4 levels, ranging from the measurement of carbon footprint to a declaration of excellence. The Cesar Manrique-Lanzarote Airport carried out a general simulation of a plane accident

Source: AENA   The César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport, following the program established in its Self-Protection Plan, today carried out a general simulation of a plane accident, which has tested the response capacity of the aerodrome's security services and the coordination with the means of outside help.   The exercise simulated the accident of a commercial flight to Funchal, with 14 passengers and 3 crew members. The aircraft, an ATR-72, twin-engine turboprop, presented a loss of power in both engines, listing and impacting in the Montaña Mina area, outside the airport area. Turkish Airlines restarts operations at Tocumen International Airport in November
