Embraer Earnings Results 1Q20

Source: Embraer HIGHLIGHTS   Embraer delivered five commercial jets and nine executive jets (five light / four large) in 1Q20, and the Company’s firm order backlog at the end of 1Q20 was US$ 15.9 billion;  EBIT and EBITDA in 1Q20 as reported were US$ (46.9) million and US$ 9.3 million, respectively, yielding EBIT margin of -7.4% and EBITDA margin of 1.5%. This compares to EBIT of US$ (15.2) million (-1.8% EBIT margin) and EBITDA of US$ 30.9 million (3.8% EBITDA margin) in 1Q19. Boeing Terminates Agreement to Establish Joint Ventures with Embraer

Boeing (NYSE: BA) announced today that it has terminated its Master Transaction Agreement (MTA) with Embraer, under which the two companies sought to establish a new level of strategic partnership. The parties had planned to create a joint venture comprising Embraer's commercial aviation business and a second joint venture to develop new markets for the C-390 Millennium medium airlift and air mobility aircraft. Embraer says that Boeing wrongfully terminated the Master Transaction Agreement

São José dos Campos, Brazil, April 25, 2020 – Embraer announced today that it is in receipt of Boeing's notice of termination of the Master Transaction Agreement (MTA) with Embraer. Embraer believes strongly that Boeing has wrongfully terminated the MTA, that it has manufactured false claims as a pretext to seek to avoid its commitments to close the transaction and pay Embraer the US$4.2 billion purchase price. Boeing Extends Temporary Suspension of Puget Sound Production Operations

Boeing is extending the temporary suspension of production operations at all Puget Sound area and Moses Lake sites until further notice.
