We have made the decision to once again present the tour virtually over five days, featuring incredible guest speakers from coast to coast, and reaching thousands of young girls and women. Source: TSA The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced the expansion of its TSA PreCheck® expedited screening program with the addition of Viva Air. The airline is based in Colombia and currently serves Orlando International Airport and Miami International Airport. TSA PreCheck is an expedited screening program for low-risk travelers at more than 200 U.S. airports. Travel with ease by enrolling in TSA PreCheck and avoid removing shoes, belts, liquids, laptops and light jackets. In January, 97% of all TSA PreCheck members waited less than five minutes. TSA PreCheck is available for eligible passengers when departing from Nassau, Bahamas and U.S. airports, including when connecting on domestic flights after returning to the United States. Source: FAA The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has proposed a $175,500 civil penalty against Airtronics in Watkins, Colorado, for allegedly conducting unapproved maintenance operations. The FAA alleges that Airtronics performed maintenance on approximately 20 aircraft between Aug. 15, 2019, and Nov. 20, 2020. The FAA alleges the company conducted these maintenance operations at a facility not approved under the company’s FAA-issued operations specifications. These outline what a company is allowed to do and where a company is allowed to operate. The FAA further alleges that the company continued to perform unapproved maintenance operations at that facility despite receiving warnings from the FAA that its operations may violate Federal Aviation Regulations. Flybondi is the first ultra-low-cost carrier in Argentina, operating since 2018 focused on achieving high efficiency in its processes to offer low prices.Since the beginning of its operations, Flybondi has carried over 3.9 million passengers with a 20% rate of first-time passengers. The cost per gallon of fuel in January 2022 ($2.36) was up 22 cents (10.3%) from December 2021 and up 38 cents (19.2%) from January 2020.
