ASA – ALTA signed ” Collaboration Agreement for the training of the aeronautical sector in Latin America”

FAA Levies $161,823 Against Eight Passengers for Alleged Alcohol-Related Unruly Behavior

Source: US FAA The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposes $161,823 in civil penalties against eight airline passengers for alleged unruly behavior involving alcohol. Since Jan. 1, 2021, the FAA has received nearly 300 reports of passenger disturbances due to alcohol and intoxication. Federal law prohibits passengers from consuming alcohol aboard a flight that is not served by a flight attendant. In August, the FAA administrator sent a letter to airports requesting that they work to prevent passengers from bringing “to-go” cups of alcohol aboard the aircraft. Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Leaders Request OIG Review of FAA’s Boeing 787 Oversight

U.S. Scheduled Passenger Airlines Employ 0.7% More Employees in September 2021 than in August, Still 8.8% Fewer than Pre-Pandemic September 2019

Source: US DOT The 24 U.S. scheduled passenger airlines employed 0.7% more full-time equivalents (FTEs) in September 2021 than in August 2021, but still employed 8.8% fewer than in pre-pandemic September 2019. The September total number of FTEs (410,836) was up 2,871 from August (407,965) and down 39,618 from September 2019 (450,454). In September 2021, the airlines employed the lowest FTE total for the month of September since 2015 (397,326). The September uptick resulted in part from increases of 2,343 FTEs at Delta Airlines and 1,150 at United Airlines. U.S. Airlines Carry 58.4 Million Passengers in September 2021 (Preliminary), Still Down 20% from Pre-Pandemic September 2019

Source: US DOT   U.S. airlines carried 58.4 million passengers in September 2021 (preliminary), compared to 25.1 million passengers in September 2020 according to data filed with the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) by 20 airlines that carry more than 90% of passengers. The 133% increase was the smallest year-over-year growth since March (see Figure 2).
