Brasilia International Airport is the first airport in the country to support the British Royal Family’s action against international wildlife trafficking

Source: ACI-LAC Brasilia International Airport, operated by Inframerica, a member of the Airports Council International for Latin America and the Caribbean (ACI-LAC), has signed the Buckingham Palace Declaration against illegal wildlife trafficking. The United for Wildlife campaign is part of the task force created in 2014 by Prince William with the aim of involving the transportation sector in the fight against wildlife trafficking. The task force brought together airports, shipping companies, airlines and government agencies to identify and facilitate private sector-led actions. Brasilia International Airport, is the first airport in Brazil and the second in Latin America to sign the Buckingham Palace Declaration. Air Travel Consumer Report: May 2021 Numbers

Salvador Bahia Airport obtains Airport Health Accreditation (AHA)

The AHA accreditation is based on the recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) CART (Aviation Recovery Task Force) documents and the ACI Business Restart and Recover recommendations guide. The program, which provides airports with guidance to align with international best practices, is open to all ACI member airports of all sizes and in all regions. IATA: Tax is not the Answer to Aviation Sustainability

IATA Calls on States to Follow WHO Guidance on Cross-Border Travel

Source: IATA The International Air Transport Association (IATA) called on states to follow new guidance on travel from the World Health Organization (WHO). The guidance recommends a “risk-based approach” to implementing measures related to COVID-19 and international travel. It will be presented to the WHO COVID-19 International Health Regulations Emergency Committee on Thursday 15 July. U.S. Department of Transportation Announces Aviation Consumer Protection Advisory Committee Members and Creation of Anti-Discrimination Subcommittee
