Proposed amendments to the Air Passenger Protection Regulations

Source: Transport Canada Statement The Minister of Transport and Internal Trade, the Honourable Anita Anand, issued the following statement: “I am pleased that the Canadian Transportation Agency’s proposed amendments to the Air Passenger Protection Regulations were published in Part I of the Canada Gazette (earlier this month), for a 75-day public comment period. “The proposed amendments seek to protect passengers when air travel does not go as planned by clarifying, simplifying and strengthening Canada’s Air Passenger Protection Regulations. The goal of these proposed amendments is to make the regulations clearer for both travellers and air carriers. Turkish Airlines added Santiago de Chile to its network

MIA expecting record-breaking numbers for winter travel season

Source: MIA Miami International Airport is expecting more than 3 million passengers during the 17-day travel period for Christmas and New Year’s Day until Monday, January 6, 2025 for a 1% increase over last year’s record-breaking travel season and a daily average of nearly 165,000 travelers. The projection also puts MIA on track to reach a new annual record of 55 million passengers by the end of the month.
