Source: IATA The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for September 2024 global passenger demand with the following highlights: Total demand, measured in revenue passenger kilometers (RPK), was up 7.1% compared to September 2023, an all-time high for September. Total capacity, measured in available seat kilometers (ASK), was up 5.8% year-on-year. The September load factor was 83.6% (+1.0ppt compared to September 2023). International demand rose 9.2% compared to September 2023. Capacity was up 9.1% year-on-year and the load factor rose to 83.8% (+0.1ppt compared to September 2023). September Saw 9.4% Growth for Air Cargo According to IATA

Total demand, measured in cargo tonne-kilometers (CTKs*), rose by 9.4% compared to September 2023 levels (10.5% for international operations) for a 14th consecutive month of growth. Capacity, measured in available cargo tonne-kilometers (ACTKs), increased by 6.4% compared to September 2023 (8.1% for international operations). The first A321XLR is delivered to Iberia

Fully Digital Travel Experience Closer to Reality says IATA

This was achieved in a proof-of-concept (PoC) involving two passengers using different digital wallets and travel credentials on a round-trip between Hong Kong and Tokyo.
