WestJet announced that Mark Paslawski is joining WestJet, as Vice-President, Legal and Corporate Secretary. Reporting to Executive Vice-President, External Affairs and Chief Legal Officer, Angela Avery, Mark will oversee the legal affairs of the WestJet Group.

“We are delighted to welcome Mark to WestJet’s external affairs and legal team,” said Angela Avery. “Mark is an experienced and accomplished leader with a strategic and proven understanding of business management who will bring a unique and instrumental energy to the WestJet Group and his team.”

Mark is joining WestJet after 14 years with Calfrac Well Services Ltd., where he served as Vice-President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for 10 years, and then transitioned to Vice-President, Corporate Development in 2017.

Prior to his time at Calfrac, Mark was an Associate at Bennett Jones for seven years and earned his Bachelor of Laws, with distinction, from the University of Saskatchewan in 1999.

As Vice-President, Legal and Corporate Secretary, Mark will provide senior leadership with strategic insight and proactively identify potential risks along with creative solutions to achieve both the long and short-term goals of the WestJet Group.
