  • ASQ Awards based on leading global measurement and benchmarking program for airport experience

Airport Council International Latin America and Caribbean (ACI-LAC) is happy to announce the best airports in Latin America and the Caribbean for customer experience chosen by the passengers.

The ASQ program is the world’s leading airport customer experience measurement and benchmarking program. Compared to other programs in the aviation industry, it is based on live research via surveys gathered at the airport—direct from the traveler—rating their satisfaction on the day of travel. Airports Council International (ACI) World, in partnership with travel technology company Amadeus, has today announced the winners of this year’s Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards.

New Awards categories

From over 465,000 surveys collected in 2022, 144 awards have been won by 75 airports around the world. The awards categories include the perennial Best Airports by Size (passengers per year) and Region, as well as new categories introduced this year to reflect the evolution of passenger needs:

  • Easiest Airport Journey
  • Most Enjoyable Airport
  • Cleanest Airport

Guayaquil International Airport

  • Best Airport of 2 to 5 Million Passengers in Latin America and Caribbean
  • Airport with the Most Dedicated Staff in Latin America and Caribbean
  • Easiest Airport Journey in Latin America and Caribbean
  • Most Enjoyable Airport in Latin America and Caribbean
  • Cleanest Airport in Latin America and Caribbean

Guanacaste Airport

  • Best Airport under 2 Million Passengers in Latin America and Caribbean
  • Easiest Airport Journey in Latin America and Caribbean

Gregorio Luperón International Airport  

  • Best Airport under 2 Million Passengers in Latin America and Caribbean

Punta Cana International Airport  

  • Best Airport of 5 to 15 Million Passengers in Latin America and Caribbean

Quito International Airport

  • Best Airport of 5 to 15 Million Passengers in Latin America and Caribbean
  • Airport with the Most Dedicated Staff in Latin America and Caribbean
  • Most Enjoyable Airport in Latin America and Caribbean
  • Cleanest Airport in Latin America and Caribbean

Quito International Airport and Guanacaste Airport were also awarded as ACI World Director General’s Roll of Excellence. This honor is conferred to five airports that have won multiple awards over a five-year period in the last 10 years as part of the ASQ program.
