TAP Air Portugal is the world’s best airline flying to Africa and South America. The company received both awards at the annual World Travel Awards ceremony, which this year took place in Madeira.

For the seventh time in a row, TAP has been honoured by the World Travel Awards as the World’s Best Airline flying to Africa and South America, after having received the same award in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.

Mário Chaves, TAP’s Chief Operating Officer, who received the award, says that ‘these awards reflect the importance of the South American and African markets for the Company and also the work we have done to strengthen this position. We work every day to make the Company better. We’re going to be 80 years old next year and for 80 years we’ve been able to maintain this leadership and we hope we can continue to serve our Customers in the best possible way.
