Piedmont Airlines unveiled a comprehensive brand refresh, which marks a new chapter of stability and strategic growth. Built on the vision to ensure Piedmont thrives forever, the refresh represents the company’s mission to provide exceptional value to their parent company, American Airlines while investing in its people and future operations.
The updated brand identity launches as Piedmont prepares for a significant growth of its operations, headlined by the upcoming addition of brand-new Embraer 175 (E175) aircraft to its fleet beginning in 2028. Following today’s digital launch, the new brand will make its physical debut at the SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo in Lakeland, Florida, from April 14–19 where attendees can experience the modernized aesthetic firsthand at the Piedmont booth.
“As Piedmont continues to grow, our brand must evolve with it,” said Crystal Byrd, Corporate Communications & Marketing Director. “This refresh is more than a new look, it’s a reflection of who we are and where we’re going. By modernizing our visual identity and messaging, we are reinforcing our commitment to long-term stability, sustainable growth, and the people who power our operation every day. When our team members see our Speedbird, we want them to recognize a clear, confident path forward; one defined by opportunity, reliability, and a future they can grow with.”
Developed in partnership with Alpha Charlie, a full-service creative agency that specializes in aviation, the refresh introduces a vibrant color palette and refined gradient stripes. Complementing these design updates is a “people-first” visual strategy, featuring real Piedmont team members across all primary branding.
“We made an intentional choice to move away from black and white stock images and put our people at the core of our brand,” said Nyeisha Dease, Marketing and Communications Manager. “The vibrant colors and photography-led design are meant to capture the energy of our operation. We also want every team member, from the flight deck to the hangar, to see themselves in this brand and feel the impact they’ve made on our organization.”
The brand refresh includes several key elements designed to reflect Piedmont’s momentum and team-focused‑ culture:
- Enhanced Tradeshow Booth: The 2026 Sun ‘n Fun Aerospace Expo will serve as the official public launch site for Piedmont’s new look, featuring updated large-format displays, popup banners and recruitment assets.
- Team-Centric Visual Storytelling: The refresh puts Piedmont team members at the forefront, featuring professional photography of Pilots, Aircraft Maintenance Technicians, Flight Attendants and support staff to highlight the people driving the airline’s success.
- Design Evolution: The brand features a modernized color palette and gradient stripes, symbolizing Piedmont’s growth, and the path forward.
- Fleet Growth: The planned introduction of E175 aircraft will support long‑term operational evolution and drive meaningful growth in team member opportunities across the airline by 2028.
Together, the brand refresh and fleet expansion plans reinforce Piedmont Airlines’ commitment to build a strong, enduring airline, focused on its people, safety and operational excellence, and long term‑ success.
