- Shareholders VINCI Airports and Groupe ADP reported a 1.8% decrease compared to the same period in 2025. March traffic alone reached 2.3 million passengers.
Santiago de Chile International Airport handled 7,387,379 passengers in the first quarter, reflecting a 1.8% decrease from 2025, according to shareholders VINCI Airports and Groupe ADP.
In March, the airport recorded 2,315,066 passengers, a 2.4% decrease year-on-year. Of these, 1,228,591 traveled domestically and 1,086,475 flew internationally.
The main domestic destinations in March were Calama, Antofagasta, Puerto Montt, Concepción, and Iquique. International traffic focused on Buenos Aires, Lima, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Bogotá.
Santiago de Chile International Airport CEO Nicolas Claude stated, “First-quarter figures continue the trend observed since 2025, with a decline in traffic, particularly on domestic routes. We are working with authorities and airlines to promote travel between Santiago and destinations within and outside Chile, ensuring competitive and attractive options for passengers.”
Throughout 2026, the airport has strengthened connectivity by adding new routes and increasing frequencies to international destinations, including new services to Neuquén and Quito, and expanding both long-haul and regional operations.
This year, 10 frequency increases are planned across 10 international routes, including Melbourne (LATAM Airlines, 6 weekly), Punta Cana (Arajet, 4), Recife (LATAM, 3), Panama City (Copa Airlines, 42), Istanbul (Turkish Airlines, 7), Buenos Aires – Aeroparque (Aerolíneas Argentinas, 24), Paris (Air France, 10), Auckland (LATAM, 5), Montreal (Air Canada, 4), and Atlanta (Delta Air Lines, 14).
