Volaris Reports October 2022 Traffic Results: 22% YoY demand growth with a 90% Load Factor

Source: Volaris Controladora Vuela Compañía de Aviación, S.A.B. de C.V., the ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) serving Mexico, the United States, Central, and South America, reports its October 2022 preliminary traffic results. In October 2022, Volaris’ capacity (measured in ASMs) increased by 17.4% year-over-year, while demand (measured in RPMs) increased by 22.0%; the result was a load factor expansion of 3.4 pp, to 89.7%. Volaris transported 2.8 million passengers during the month, a 22.0% increase compared to October 2021. Demand in the domestic Mexican and international markets increased by 19.5% and 28.7%, respectively. Year-to-date, Volaris’ demand increased 29.1% YoY, with load factor expanding 1.3 pp yearover-year, to 85.4%. October 2022 deliveries: 60 deliveries to 38 customers October 2022 orders: 177 2022 deliveries to date: 497 deliveries to 72 customers in the year. The net year to date delivery number of 495 reflects a reduction of 2 deliveries recorded in December 2021 (2 A350-900 AEROFLOT) for which a transfer was not possible due to international sanctions.

Pratt & Whitney Welcomes Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance to the GTF MRO Network
