MIA plays Cupid as America’s busiest flower gateway

Source: MIA 91 percent of all flower imports for Valentine’s Day arriving at MIA Love is definitely in the air at Miami International Airport this week, when the busiest U.S. airport for flower imports expects an average of 300,000 flower stems to arrive daily before Valentine’s Day. From January 1 to February 15, MIA projects that a total of 1.4 billion flower stems will have landed for sweethearts across the country – a 17-percent increase over the same period in 2021. J.D. Power presents Best Mega Airport Award to MIA

Power formally presented Miami International Airport with its award for Best Mega Airport in North America for passenger satisfaction, according to the global organization's 2021 North America Airport Satisfaction Study SM. The annual J.D. Power study was based on surveys from U.S. or Canadian residents who traveled through at least one U.S. or Canadian airport from July 2020 through July 2021. Key Updates on Construction Projects at LAX

Source: LAX In February, work continues on a number of projects related to the LAX Automated People Mover (APM), including construction of the guideway over Sepulveda Boulevard and elevated pedestrian walkways that will connect new terminal vertical cores to stations throughout the Central Terminal Area (CTA). Work is also taking place on the APM train guideway and stations elsewhere along the 2.25-mile route, as well as terminal modernization and other projects in the CTA. Work will be paused on many projects between Feb. 10 and 15 due to heavier passenger volume expected for Super Bowl LVI.
